
Develop your skills as a black and white printmaker. This workshop is perfect for the analogue photographer who wants to make handmade prints of their negatives away from a computer screen. Becoming proficient in black & white printing will in turn improve your photography skills!
During this workshop, we will delve deeper into the process of making high quality black and white prints from your own negatives.
We will learn about different enlarger lenses, light sources, and papers, before moving on to making prints. We will learn a variety of techniques, including dodging and burning, and masking, along with best practice techniques to help you get consistently excellent results.
We will look at examples of excellent printmaking technique, and discuss problems and mistakes that may raise their head during your time in the darkroom.
This workshop is aimed at those who have some experience in the darkroom or analogue photography, being an excellent opportunity to improve your technical skills.
