Here at Negative Thinking, we’re all about sharing knowledge and breaking down barriers to access where it comes to alternative and historic photographic techniques.

We see alternative photography as a shared cultural heritage that requires not only preservation, but also needs to be championed to a new generation of photographers.

With this in mind, Negative Thinking offers a range of in-depth, skills focused continuous professional development (CPD) workshops designed for educators and technicians.

These workshops cover your chosen process from the perspective of the teacher; you’ll learn everything you need to know about the history, methodology, chemistry, and application of the process whilst getting hands on in the studio and darkroom. These workshops cover everything in greater detail, so that a deeper understanding and appreciation of each process is possible.

With our help, you’ll be able to take what you’ve learned with us and offer it to your students - helping us in our mission to spread the joy and creative potential of alternative and historic photography to the wider photographic community.
