Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of the experimental darkroom!

On this one-day workshop, you’ll try your hand at three alternative printing techniques; learning about their individual uses, their specific technical requirements, and their potential as tools in the creative printmaker’s arsenal.

We’ll then experiment with these learned techniques by combining them all into one final image, creating a unique piece of experimental, abstract photography.

Techniques included in this workshop are Sabattier, Enlarged Photogram, and Chemigram. These processes are wonderful individually, but when brought together they can create the most incredible, expressive imagery.

This workshop is a perfect way to experience the magic that is possible in the darkroom, and acts as a fantastic taster of what could be awaiting you if you join our brilliant Experimental Darkroom evening course.
