Join us in the darkroom to learn about the beautiful Kallitype process!
Developed in 1889, the Kallitype utilises iron and silver salts to render wonderfully rich images with a wide tonal range.
During the workshop, you’ll learn how to prepare the sensitising chemistry from scratch before hand coating paper and exposing to UV light. You’ll learn how to mix developer and how to process your prints effectively.
You are welcome to bring your own large format or digital negatives with you, but there will be an opportunity to make negatives for the process at the start of the day.
This workshop is suitable for those with a little darkroom experience, and all materials are provided.
