Join Sula in the KIT FORM darkroom to learn all about the beautiful Cyanotype process!
Invented in 1842 by Sir John Herschel, the Cyanotype uses iron salts to produce a brilliant Prussian blue image that was initially used as a way to quickly reproduce notes and technical drawings. These “Blue prints” have since been adopted by the photographic community as a staple of creative image making.
Over the course of this three-hour long workshop you’ll learn how to mix the chemistry from scratch, how to select and sensitise paper for printing, and how to expose and process your images to best take advantage of the distinctive cyanotype look.
This is a beginner friendly workshop, so no previous experience is required, and all materials are provided.
