Learn how to manipulate and alter a negative using specialist techniques, chemistry, and tools to create something beautifully handmade.
Through an experimental, enquiring approach, we will utilise the materiality of the negative to generate unique imagery. Using a combination of precise exposure techniques, camera movements, paint, pigment, charcoal, tape, hydrogen peroxide, and all manner of other materials and chemistry, we will aim to create some new negatives to print in the darkroom.
This is a highly experimental, free flowing workshop, so come equipped with an open mind, full of ideas and concepts you might like to explore.
Previous darkroom experience is welcomed, but not necessary, and all materials are included.
